I. Brief Introduction
HXY-6A core drill a new product with greater capability made by Lianyungang Huanghai Machinery Co., Ltd, based on the improvement of HXY-5 core drill. It is mainly applicable for industries of geology, metallurgy, coal, hydrology, engineering and so on; The core drilling machines, predominated by diamond bit and tungsten-carbide bit drilling, are also applicable for engineering geological prospecting, exploitation of superficial-zone petroleum and natural gas, mine workings ventilation and water discharge tunnel drilling as well as foundation pile construction in large diameter.
The machine is fit for engineering works of inclined and vertical hole drilling. It absorbs the merits from XY-4, XY-44 and HXY-5 drills of compact in construction, rational in overall arrangement, moderate in weight, convenient in assembling and wide in range of rotation speed, equipped with water brake, low-position lift brake application and so on.

II. Main Characteristics Of HXY-6A Core Drill Rig
1. Possessing more number of speeds and rational range of ration speed, large torque but low speed, not only applicable for drilling with alloy and diamond core, but also applicable for engineering geology investigation, hydrological water well drilling and construction of foundation pile engineering works.
2. With large spindle I. D. Diameter 93 mm(3.66 inch), coring with hydraulic double oil cylinders with longer stroke up to 720 mm(28.35 inch). With strong technological adaptability, the rig can be adapted on many field, especially on large diameter drill rod drilling, (upper part coring) extracting core with wire line. Thus it is more effective in improving drilling efficiency with less faulty in hole.
3. With powerful drilling capacity, the rated drilling depth comes up to 1, 750m(5740 feet) with 71mm(2.80 inch) drill rod extracting core with wire line.
4. Light in weight, good in removability, the net weight of drill(excluding power unit) is about 3650 kg (8048 lb), and the host machine can be divided into 10 parts, the weight of maximal removable part is 500 kg(1103 lb), which is convenient for relocation and applicable for mountainous area operation.
5. The hydraulic chuck adopts bidirectional oil supply and equipped with hydraulic control one-way valve; The chuck is in larger capacity and stability.
6. Equipped with water brake, the rig is steady and secure in deep drilling.
7. Supplying oil with simplex pump, it is easy for installation and application; Lower in consumption of energy and a low temperature of hydraulic system oil; The rig is for sure in steady drilling. The hand oil pump may be used to hoist the drilling tools in hole upon the faulty of power engine.
8. Compact in construction, reasonable in layout, and all exposed, non overlapped components, it is easier for maintenance and repair.
9. Low centre of gravity, long moving distance up to 460 mm(18.11 inch), firm in fixation, and better stability of drilling in high speed.
10. Equipped with shockproof instrument with long service life, which is convenient for mastering the conditions in the hole. Less operating handholds, flexible and reliable in control;
